In order to develop material technologies related to cleaning up the environment and effectively utilizing reproductive energy sources, we have been focusing our research interests on physicochemical properties occurring at the surface and interface of solids including molecular interactions. Our research field is Electrocatalytic Chemistry of Inorganic and Metallic Materials.

Utilization of methane

Research Topics

1.   Characterization of catalytic anode composites and fabrication of a single cell using these composite materials for the direct use of methane in solid oxide fuel cells.
2.   Synthesis of photocatalyst materials for the recovery of heavy metal ions and degradation of an endocrine disruptor in an aqueous environment.
3.   Photochemical conversion of carbon dioxide into methane.
